The Umbilical cord is sold !

Wiki states Planned Parenthood is a NGO providing reproductive health and material and child health services. It is the largest US provider of reproductive health services, counseling, contraception and abortion.

For us it may seem new but the name is not unfamiliar among the residents of United States of America. Even kids know them well :)

Recently, Planned Parenthood has been in news for using tax dollars for abortions. As per Seattle Times, Planned Parenthood carried out 3 Lac 30 thousand abortions in 2010, i.e. more than a quarter million. The number itself is so huge for a developed country.

3 Lac abortions, I would rather say cold blooded murder of 3 Lac fetuses in 365 days. And still things are motionless as if there is nothing wrong or odd to raise your brow.

Abortions have become a daily routine. Isn’t it? But I would ask them do you have the guts to see how abortions are carried out? Do you have the courage to witness the breaking of bones and tearing of flesh of a helpless soul? Just Google it out, to understand the cruelty involved.

Shouldn’t we proud of this achievement?

I believe abortion should and only should be allowed in rape crimes, danger to mother/child, etc. The tax dollars would be better utilized if they focus on providing moral education rather than counseling after things goes bad.

But the news is more serious.

Abortion is being made into a profitable business. Bring out the fetus and sell its organ. Its like rear it and sell it.

Let the American culture aside. But we, the one who used to call themselves noblest on the earth are much ahead of them. Surprisingly we have decorated ourselves with a garland of 6 million abortions and many in the name of boy.

It was not the Planned Parenthood but for the below point I am writing this post:

A much bigger problem has surfaced recently. I am sure you must have heard of Surrogacy. There is a page on wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commercial_surrogacy_in_India . I don’t know what others think, but I feel ashamed of it.

Original source: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/jul/30/india-surrogate-mothers-law

Motherhood is on sale and who is buying it? The rich and the affluent class. And if you believe me there are some hilarious reasons behind to have surrogates baby. Some plan for surrogates so that their body figure doesn't gets affected, some do want to bear the labor pain and some do not have time for stuffs like this. Recently your favorite start had a surrogate. Congratulations!! Like a product on the shelf they prefer to pay the money and perform hassle free transaction J

To my surprise some senior bureaucrats and politicians termed it as an Industry. Would you believe how much worth this industry is in India?
Its 400 million dollar a year.

The sacred thread is ruptured. The umbilical cord is sold out. The economics are discussed, you pay money and rent a space and its legal mind it. I am sure soon a magnate will craft it into a profitable enterprise J

Now you would know why India is number one destination for fertility tourism.

I am afraid of the magnitude of destruction it will bring when surrogacy will become like what Planned Parenthood is accused of. Laws are flexible in India, labors are cheap. Rent a womb for less than 2k dollar, make sure the pregnancy breaks after certain stage. Sell the organs and count notes.

In Surrogacy, there is no guaranteed attachment between the mother, the baby and the womb renter. What if donor and surrogate disown the child after some years? Where will they go? We will have an army of bastards!!

Thanks,

BBC documentary India's Daughter - Defaming India

Recently, we have seen people from Israel and Britain worried about the conditions of women in India. Moreover, as a token of sympathy they have come up with a film to expose Indian men and the Indian culture. According to them, women in India are in a very depressing situation. They are deprived of human rights. They are attacked, molested and murdered by the male dominated Indian society, thus concluding and accusing the Indian culture to be a demonic one           How do they jump to such conclusions? I still wonder! They blame the complete society, the complete civilization, without giving a look in their own house. It is sick to interview a criminal and determine the entire society on that basis. If so bothered ,why did the documentary producer pay Rs Rs 40,000 to the rape convict. Why wasn’t a documentary made based on Jimmy Savile , who is accused of hundreds of sexual assault case...

My heart wouldn't have this big had I been to Harvard

Sitting amongst the MBA guys at SJMSOM my ear carefully glued to S Gurumurthy's voice who was talking about different types of Capitals. I was aware of Financial capital as whole of the economic newspapers are filled with such stuffs.   He mentioned intellectual capital is the next important capital for any nation, as this would consume the first one. Next he spoke about Social capital. Difficult to generate and quite important for any society to flourish happily. Our nation had this extensively that is the reason why we were so successful until 19 Century.   I had no idea what the third one meant. After going through Francis Fukuyama's writings on Social Capital I came know how tough was to build this one.   Social capital is the trust and interconnection between groups of people/community. It may take generations to build. It is generally the result of common tradition and culture that people share.  Although on Wikipedia the definition of Social capital c...

Why did we took 101 years to respect ourselves ?

We all knew the drama played by media targeting the inclusion of Ancient Science papers in 102nd Indian Science Congress. Little did the people knew that all the criticism was in media and not in the conference. I saw the e xperts and Scientists present there did asked questions but that was not criticism, rather CURIOSITY!            I would like to quote the words of a renowned personality present at the Science Congress. He said ''Media and other intellectuals opposing the event doesn't even know how to criticize! Ideas cannot be criticized by words. We have to put them in laboratory. And we are going to do that. We will test these stuffs in laboratory and later derive the conclusions. Innovations and Imaginations should never be stopped.''            For years we ignored ourselves and tried best to own what others left...
